Hello, my name is Carol Owen. I am a trained and certified Funeral Celebrant and a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants. I work across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and the surrounding areas, and I am happy to travel further if required.

If you are visiting my page, you may be facing a time of sadness and difficulty. I am here to support you, to gently guide you through the process, offer you choices, and work with you to plan and deliver a beautiful and meaningful farewell for your loved one.

As an independent celebrant, I can create a service that is religious, non-religious, or a blend of both. We may include hymns or prayers, or not, and carefully choose music, poems, readings, or any other elements that feel right. Family and friends are welcome to take part through personal tributes or readings. You may wish to write your own eulogy, or I can prepare one on your behalf.

Every ceremony I create is personal and unique, shaped around your loved one’s life and your wishes as a family. I will take the time to listen to your memories, learn about their life and character, and craft a bespoke service that truly reflects who they were.

Alongside my work as a celebrant, I also serve as a wedding registrar, where I have come to deeply value the importance of listening and understanding each family’s story. Together, we will create a service that honours your loved one with dignity, warmth, and authenticity.
